Two promontories

DEUX PROMONTOIRES
Réalisé lors de ma résidence à Séoul en 2022, ce petit automate propose une séquence courte: un escabeau et un rocher, deux formes archétypales mais anachroniques du promontoire, se succèdent sur une scène en bois. Celle-ci tourne lentement et pousse les deux objets à travers le rideau blanc, dans un bruit cristallin.
Les matériaux utilisés sont des perles de verre de type corail translucide pour l'escabeau, pétrole irisé pour le rocher, et blanc pour le rideau. les structures sont en fil de fer.

This little automata shows a short sequence: a stool and a rock, two archetypal and anachronistic shapes of the promontory, are succeeding on a wooden stage. It turns slowly and pushes the two objects through a white curtain, in a crystalline sound.
I used glass beads such as translucent orange for the stool and iridescent blue for the rock. structures are in steel wire.
