Cet automate permet la rencontre fructueuse de deux objets: une vieille statuette en plastique de la Vierge Marie et un morceau de balai. Quand on tourne la manivelle, Marie apparaît de derrière un rideau métallique. Sans émotion visible, elle fourre sa tête entre les poils du balai, d’une manière étrangement érotique. Au climax, une clochette résonne: Ting! Puis elle redescend et ainsi de suite.

THE PLASTIC MARY
This automaton allows two objects to contact successfully: an ancient little plastic statue of Virgin Mary and a piece of broom. When you turn the crank, Mary goes up, appearing from behind a steel curtain. Without visible emotion, she «stuffs» her head into the hairs of the broom, in a weird erotic way. At the climax point a little bell rings: Ting ! Then she goes down again, and so on.
